“All The Stars” is ahead, a Kendrick Lamar production

Once again, Kendrick Lamar still has a lot to talk about, since he recently released to the public the video of “All The Stars”, the first advance of the music inspired by the film and the second song of the disc, that sees Kung Fu Kenny join forces with SZA. The video, directed by Dave Meyers and the little homies, the video takes influence from the aesthetics of Afrofuturismo of Black Panther, while King Kendrick stalks the Earth and SZA dances between the stars, was released, two days before Kendrick Lamar and TDE will finally have released Black Panther The Album.

The project of Kendrick and Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith (CEO of the label Top Dawg Entertainment), brings us a collection of 14 original songs, all inspired by the latest Marvel superproduction, and appears in all of them in some way, from improvisations and accompaniment voices, until the delivery of verses. The Album was created and produced by Kendrick Lamar. and it is simply remarkable.

For this project, Lamar counted on the collaboration of the artists who set standards in hip hop, such as Jorja Smith, Travis Scott, ScHoolBoy Q, 2 Chainz, Vince Staples, Swae Lee, Khalid, Mozzy, SOB x RBE and more. Also, the single “All The Stars” where SZA participates, “King’s Dead” with Jay Rock, Future and James Blake and “Pray For Me” with The Weeknd.

Before the movie hits theaters next week, The Black Panther album by Kendrick Lamar has arrived. Fourteen tracks have the hallmark of the winner of seven Grammy awards, among which are already released “All The Stars”, “King’s Dead” and “Pray For Me”.

Although in recent years many superhero productions have come out, few have had memorable soundtracks, but Black Panther: The Album is without a doub the exception. Unlike Guardians of the Galaxy, also from Marvel Studios, the Wakanda King’s album is not a compilation, it’s something completely new created by Lamar.

“I’ve been a huge Kendrick fan since I first heard it, from its mixtapes, and I’ve been trying to track it down. Eventually I met him a couple of years ago. First with Anthony ‘Top Dawg’ Tiffith, who runs his record label, and then I sat with him and with Kendrick and I just talked about how much his music affected me. He talked about my films that he had seen and we said that if the opportunity came, we would love to work together on something”; said Ryan Coogler, director of the film.

For his part, when the news of his participation in the project was announced at the beginning of the year, Lamar said: “Black Panther is incredible, from its cast to its director. The magnitude of this film shows a great union of art and culture. I am truly honored to contribute my knowledge to produce sounds and write music to the vision of Ryan and Marvel”.

The album is already available on streaming platforms such as Spotify, iTunes and Amazon Music, among others.
